What is Coaching?

I define coaching as helping individuals get the clarity-of-mind that they need to make the decisions that they want to make. As a credentialed coach, I achieve this goal by asking thought-provoking questions that help you challenge your own awareness and possibilities; by drawing-on evidence-based frameworks that help you move through difficult moments; and by creating a judgment-free space for you to feel focused and confident.

ABOUT ME

I care deeply about creating and sharing positive experiences with those around me. This is what inspires me, in virtually all facets of my life. Since 2018, I have proudly built a reputation for being a passionate, results-driven and fiercely-committed personal coach. Crucially, I work hard to foster a judgment-free and action-oriented space for each and every client. I draw on my International Coaching Federation and CoachU certifications, my entrepreneurial and business backgrounds, and my diverse life experiences to be the best coach I can be. I love to travel, to make espresso, to (try to) play the guitar, to write, and to work out (as much as I can).

WHAT DO I TYPICALLY SUPPORT PEOPLE WITH?

Mental clarity, so that the puzzle pieces better fit together in their mind

Many people come to me with a feeling that there’s a “fog” in their mind or a mess of puzzle pieces. Through coaching, I hold for them the space they need to clear the clouds and put the puzzle pieces together.

Goal and action-plan setting, to turn their ‘desired’ changes into ‘actual’ changes

One of the biggest challenges my clients face in making change is to create an actionable and realistic plan. This is not everyone’s strength! With accountability and smart goal setting, I help individuals achieve this.

A ‘life strategy’, to help them mindfully determine how they want to live

Many individuals want help ‘strategizing’ big parts of their life – their career, relationships, direction, vision, and priorities. The coaching space is a wonderful place to work through such important matters.

Interpersonal and relationship challenges, to help them navigate tough situations

Whether embarking on a particularly challenging period of uncertainty, or getting greater clarity around how to handle a complex interpersonal situation, I can help individuals determine the best plan of action for them.

Confidence and assertiveness, so that they can begin to take control of their lives

In their everyday lives, I will help individuals become more sure of themselves and their decisions, and further explore all of the different options available to them amidst challenging decisions and inflection points.

With coaching, the edges still exist, but they get softer. The walls are still there, but you can climb over them. Life goes on, but you can better manage it.

WHAT MAKES MY APPROACH UNIQUE?

I work very hard to strike the right balance between compassion and accountability; between evidence-based frameworks and intuition and personal experiences. This balance – of the coaching fundamentals I have studied and the life challenges I have experienced – is what makes my approach unique, and what makes me well-suited to help certain people experience the shift they need.

Recent testimonials, copied-and-pasted (with humility)

“Where do I even begin? When I came to Jeff, my life felt like a mess. Immediately, he helped me get things organized. We set “focus areas” so that I could start to make small changes in the parts of my life that mattered most to me (career and relationship). A few months later and I’ve never felt so clear-minded or focused.”
